Join the Fellow-in-Training Section Committee
The Fellow-in-Training Section is looking for fellows who are interested in national leadership roles at ASRS! Several position are currently open for fellow members to join the FIT Section committee for the upcoming year. Interested individuals should submit a short (<250 word) statement of interest and describe any relevant experience (helpful, but not required), as well as a CV. Please email all information to Chayal Patel at chayal.patel@asrs.org by September 28.
There’s plenty of opportunity to share your creativity and vision in either position:
Spotlight Cases-Co Chair – Collect, curate, and publish interesting cases from around the country onto the ASRS website (https://www.asrs.org/sections/fellows-in-training/spotlight-cases). Co-chairs would additionally work together to spread the word to interested medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty and help build the ASRS clinical educational library. Spotlight Cases are extremely popular with ASRS members, making this a fantastic opportunity to meaningful participate on a national educational initiative.
Innovative Surgical Videos Co-Chairs – Curate and publish instructional surgical videos onto the ASRS website (https://www.asrs.org/clinical/clinical-and-surgical-videos/innovative-retina-surgical-video-series/videos). Co-chairs would additionally work together to spread the word to interested medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty and help build the ASRS clinical educational library. The Innovative Retina Surgical Video Series offers a unique means by which retina specialists can enhance their surgical knowledge, learn new techniques, improve skills and outcomes, and maximize patient care.
