Biography

Spencer Langevin, M.D. was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. He received a B.S. from Syracuse University in Exercise Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.

He completed his internal medicine internship at Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, NY, an affiliate of the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Nassau University Medical Center where he served as chief resident. Dr. Langevin then completed a fellowship
at the Harkness Eye Institute at Columbia University in New York City where he received training in Ocular Oncology under Dr. Brian Marr.

Dr. Langevin has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed literature, authored/co-authored 3 textbook chapters on both ocular oncology and retinal surgery, and has presented at local, national, and international meetings.

Dr. Langevin is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, International Society of Ocular Oncology, American Society of Retina Specialists, New York State Ophthalmological Society, American Medical Association, and Nassau County Surgical Society.

Dr. Langevin completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Uveitis in 2022 at Albany Medical Center/Retina Consultants, PLLC. He currently works full time for Brooklyn Eye Center in Private practice and is the director of retina services for Brookdale Hopsital and teaches residents at the St. John's Episcopal Residency in Queens. In his free time he loves be with his wife and two sons, as well as playing golf and cheering for the Buffalo Bills, New York Mets, and Syracuse Orange.
