Biography
Dr Emmanouil Mavrikakis is an award-winning vitreoretinal surgeon with worldwide recognition. He is a major contributor to medical literature and academia having authored more than 25 peer reviewed scientific publications.
Dr Mavrikakis has been recognized by the American Academy of Ophthalmology with the Achievement Award (2010) and by the American Society of Retina Specialists with the Senior Honor Award (2016) and the Honor Award (2011) for outstanding service to the society's scientific and educational programs.
In January 2022 Dr Mavrikakis received the Fellow of American Society of Retina Specialists (FASRS) designation as a recognition of his consistent commitment to the Society, expertise in the management of vitreoretinal diseases and the highest ethical and professional standards. He is a Mentor at the Early Career Mentorship Program of the ASRS
