Biography

Ryan N. Vogel, MD, is a retina specialist and founder of Advanced Retina located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At his practice, he provides a patient-centered approach with the most advanced retina treatments available to serve southeastern Wisconsin's patients and eye care community.

Dr. Vogel received his medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. While there, he was one of nine medical students in his junior year class elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in recognition of his high academic achievement.

After graduating, he returned to his hometown to complete an ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Vogel then traveled to Baltimore, Maryland to complete his surgical and medical retina fellowship training at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute.

Dr. Vogel is an experienced retina specialist, having performed thousands of eye surgeries and tens of thousands of in-office procedures. He has also served as the primary author in several peer-reviewed ophthalmology journals on topics including age-related macular degeneration, central serous chorioretinopathy, and retinopathy of prematurity. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Dr. Vogel is delighted to pursue his passion for practicing medicine near his hometown, where he lives with his wife and three children.
