Biography
Dr. Yasser Elshatory is a board-certified Ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal specialist who is the founder of Elshatory Retina Associates, a vitreoretinal surgery practice in North Texas headquartered in Plano, Texas. Dr. Elshatory completed his vitreoretinal fellowship at the University of Iowa. He received advanced training in the medical and surgical treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, retinal detachments, and posterior uveitis. Dr. Elshatory received his M.D. degree and Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Rochester before completing an ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma. He has authored many scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented numerous papers and lectures at national and international specialty meetings.
