Biography
I am a Clinician in the department of Retina and Vitreous in L V Prasad eye Institute. I received clinical training in treating retinal diseases after completing my ophthalmology residency in B.J Medical College, Ahmedabad. I am also a part of the Uveitis and Ocular Immunology services at L V Prasad Eye Institute. My main area of interest is complex retinal detachment surgeries and I am currently involved in pioneering a new surgical technique which utilizes fibrin glue in retinal detachment surgeries.
My other area of interest is retinal infections like Ocular Syphilis, Viral retinitis and inflammation affecting the retina and choroid. I am currently working on assessing the various subtypes of Vogt Koyanagi Harada disease and the role of systemic and peri-ocular steroids in these diseases.
