We invite you to join us at the Global Ophthalmology Summit taking place August 12 and 13 in Park City, Utah. The Summit will bring together those involved in global ophthalmology to learn from one another, build networks and explore collaborations to further enhance global eye care. Ophthalmologists, optometrists, public health specialists, allied health professionals, technicians and industry involved in global eye care are welcome.

Mission
Improving eye health and eliminating vision loss through public health advocacy, global ophthalmology education, research, collaboration and bridging global eye care stakeholders.
Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Describe the current state of vision impairment and causes in the world
Understand the new WHO World Report on Vision
Develop strategies for meeting the WHO’s 2030 targets
Describe the role of social determinants of health in vision impairment and health inequities
Describe the important of innovation and technology in meeting the challenges of blindness prevention
Discuss the importance of equitable partnerships across geographic boundaries, as well as interprofessional entities
CME Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and The Moran Eye Center.
